Fluffsy Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Fluffsy does and doesn't do with your data. We've written it in plain English instead of legalese — if anything's unclear, email us at the address at the bottom.
The short version
- Your pet photos never leave your device. Sticker generation runs entirely on your iPhone using Apple's Vision framework.
- We don't have a login system, so we don't have your name, email, or account.
- The app uses a small number of third-party SDKs for narrow, specific purposes (crash reporting, anonymous analytics, ad attribution if you came from a TikTok ad, and subscription management). Each is described below.
- We don't show ads inside Fluffsy.
- TikTok Business SDK is the only component that can track you across apps — and only if you explicitly allowed it in the iOS tracking prompt.
- We don't sell, share, or monetize your data.
Data we collect
Fluffsy is designed to keep your pet's photos on-device. We do not upload your pet photos, your pet's name, or anything you create in the app to any external server. Sticker generation runs entirely on your iPhone using Apple's Vision framework.
The app does, however, use a small number of third-party SDKs for the narrow purposes described below. Each one is identified individually with the data it receives and how to control it.
Photos you pick
When you select photos to turn into stickers, Fluffsy reads them from your Photos library with your permission. The processing — detecting your pet and cutting it out from the background — happens entirely on your device. The resulting stickers are saved in Fluffsy's own app storage on your phone. Nothing is uploaded, ever.
Your preferences
The details you enter during onboarding (your pet's name, species, personality traits, how you describe your relationship) and your Settings choices (widget cadence, active hours, quote styles) are stored locally on your device. They're used only to personalize what you see in the app and on the widget. They are not transmitted anywhere.
Third-party services
Crash and error reporting — Sentry
We use Sentry (sentry.io, EU data residency) to receive automatic reports when the app crashes or hits unexpected errors. Sentry receives a randomly-generated install ID, the iOS version, the device model, and a stack trace. We have disabled IP address and User-Agent collection in our Sentry configuration. Sentry does not receive your name, email, photos, or any content you create in Fluffsy.
Product analytics — PostHog
We use PostHog (eu.posthog.com, EU data residency) to understand how people use the app — for example, which onboarding steps users complete or how often the "New look" button is tapped. PostHog receives anonymous events tagged with a randomly-generated device identifier. PostHog does not receive your name, email, photos, or any content you create in Fluffsy.
Ad measurement — TikTok Business SDK
If you arrived at Fluffsy via a TikTok ad, we use the TikTok Business SDK to measure that the install came from that ad. The SDK receives anonymous install and engagement events. It can link these events to your device's IDFA only if you authorized tracking via the iOS prompt that appeared during onboarding. If you denied tracking, the SDK receives only anonymized signals that cannot be linked to a specific TikTok ad click.
You can change your tracking preference at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Fluffsy.
Subscription management — RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat (revenuecat.com) to manage Fluffsy Pro subscriptions across reinstalls. RevenueCat receives your Apple-assigned subscription identifier and the App Account Token Apple provides on purchase. It does not receive your Apple ID, name, or email.
Tracking
TikTok Business SDK is the only component in Fluffsy that may track you across other apps and websites — and only with your explicit consent via the iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. If you denied that prompt, no tracking takes place. The App Store privacy label "Used to Track You" still appears on our product page because the SDK is present, but the SDK cannot in fact link your activity to other apps.
What Fluffsy does NOT collect
- Your name, email, phone number, or birthday
- Your location
- Your contacts
- Your browsing history
- Your IDFA — unless you explicitly authorized tracking via the iOS prompt
- Crash reports with personal data (we have IP and User-Agent collection disabled in Sentry)
Data residency
- Sentry crash reports are stored in EU data centers (Sentry's Frankfurt region).
- PostHog product events are stored in EU data centers (PostHog's Frankfurt region).
- TikTok Business SDK data is processed by TikTok according to their policies, which include US data centers. See TikTok's privacy policy for the full details.
- RevenueCat data is processed in the US.
If you would prefer your data not be processed by any of these services, you can use Fluffsy without subscribing (which avoids RevenueCat's purchase records) and deny the iOS tracking prompt (which prevents per-device-ID-linked TikTok events). Sentry and PostHog cannot currently be opted out of without uninstalling the app.
How long your data is stored
Your photos, stickers, preferences, and all other on-device app data live on your device for as long as Fluffsy is installed. When you delete the app, all of that data is removed from your device — Apple handles this automatically.
Sentry, PostHog, RevenueCat, and TikTok each retain data according to their own policies.
Your rights and contact
You can:
- Request a copy of any data we hold about you (a randomly-generated device identifier and event log) by emailing the address below.
- Request deletion of all data tied to your device's identifier.
- Withdraw your tracking consent at any time in iOS Settings.
- Disable Fluffsy's notifications, photo library access, or tracking permissions individually in iOS Settings.
- Delete everything locally: delete the Fluffsy app from your device.
- Cancel your subscription: Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → Fluffsy Pro → Cancel.
Children
Fluffsy is rated 4+ and contains no user-to-user communication, no in-app advertising, and no third-party content surfaced to users. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone, and we especially don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes (e.g., adding a new SDK, changing how we handle photos) will be called out in-app before they take effect.
